Baron
Rohl carries on a 3rd generation family tradition of careers
in the Maritime industry. Born on Long Island, NY Baron’s teen
years were consumed with commercial fishing, clamming, scalloping, and
diving in Great South Bay and Long Islands South Shore. Shrimping in
the Gulf of Mexico followed, at age 18, Baron became a USCG licensed
Captain.
In 1979, Baron received a Degree in Oceanographic Technology from the
Florida Institute of Technology. In the early 80’s his career
turned toward yachting and quickly became Master of large Fast yachts,
where Gerald Sklakoff’s surveys were eagerly anticipated and well
respected. New yacht construction projects in several European countries
followed by commercial Ferry operations and valuable experience with
a variety of sailboats, compliments a highly diverse background for
surveying all types of vessels.
Baron is constantly offers leadership toward safer boating. Membership
includes NFPA, ABYC, IAMI, and an active 1,600 Ton USCG license.
Baron is well recognized for his commitment toward excellence in yachting.
His continuing educations, professionalism, practical world wide marine
experience, are sources he draws upon to prepare a survey. Baron offers
to build life long relationships with each client through every survey
performed.
